Roberto Kaelin Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

I have trained at Roberto Kaelin’s. Although now I reside in Denton. The training is solid, as are the majority of the students. Roberto is a black belt (Red Stripe) under Carlos Machado in Dallas, and an excellent teacher, the close interaction means that you progress in skill quite quickly, classes are two hours long, the first hour is escapes, judo throws, and technique (Roberto is also a black belt in Judo) And the second hour is open mat for rolling. It’s a relatively small gym so often you will be paired against people two belts or more above you. And with a little patience and pain can pick up the hang of things quickly. Roberto is also open to roll and instruct any time. And saturdays are open mat, no gi training.

I’m a black belt under Fabio Santos & have over 10 years of BJJ experience. I started training with Roberto when I moved to the Keller area around 4 years from San Diego. I was previously training with Carlos Machado & the drive was too far. Roberto is 100% legit! He’s a black belt under Carlos, very technical, and a patient, detail oriented instructor. He trains with all of the students & is vert attentive to their needs. I have watched his academy progress from a small Jiu-Jitsu academy to one of the premier Jiu-Jitsu academies in North Texas.
