Yes. I have trained at the Ridgecrest Martial Arts Academy. The academy offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Jeet Kune Do and kick boxing mixed with other types of martial arts. I started with BJJ and then JKD. All the instructors are top notched and the students are as well. Training has been a great way to add balance in my life. Not only do you get to learn self defense but you get to hang out with some great people. These arts are for all ages from kids to adults. Ridgecrest Martial Arts Academy’s BJJ is descended directly from Helio Gracie and its JKD directly from Bruce Lee. It is never too late to start training. I started at the tender age of 44. So we welcome you to our school. See you on the mats.
Great school! The school has it all; good facility, clean mats, good people, great atmosphere, and a dedicated instructor who is focused on improving your MMA game. This place is fun for the whole family! I will definitely continue training here for many years to come.
Oh and check out their web site at:

It gives you a lot more information on the school and the various arts they teach. It’s pretty cool.
I just moved here to Ridgecrest,CA.. and well me and my little brother Chris have been wanted to learn Mix Martial Arts and BJJ. whats the fee or any requirements
Yes the Professor at the school is a Black Belt under Wander Braga. We continue to fight as the wander braga fight team. This is a great school, very technical bjj, clean facility, team enviorment, overall a great place to train. We are lucky to have such high level bjj in our community.
The kids class is also excellent. My son joined 9 months ago and it’s amazing to see the mental and physical growth. What I like as a parent is the constancy of the class format which consists of warm-up, strength training through the incorporation of animal exercises, core BJJ skills then a bow out. At the same time this basic template is varied enough from class to class to keep the kids attention span. The discipline level is perfect for the age group – basically the coach respects the kids and expects the same in return for him as well as the other students. All the class time is well utilized and well proportioned.
To give you a real life example, my son went from not being able to one good push up to 20 or 30 good ones. His confidence level and ability to keep his cool under pressure has increased tremendously. Not to mention the fact he can apply some pretty nice BJJ moves in a dynamic, real life situation because of the teaching style.
All in all, he runs to the door of the gym in excitement every class and that’s what it’s all about!
